A message from State Representative Kevin Ambler:

THE TRUTH MATTERS

"My opponent has no State Legislative record of his own to stand on. So, he and his special interest backers have chosen to lie about mine!"

In a desperate attempt to trick the voters in our District 12 State Senate race, my opponent and the shadowy special interest groups that are supporting him are spreading misleading and false statements about my conservative Republican voting record.

Especially when it comes to the issue of immigration.

To set the record straight:

I NEVER VOTED

to grant Health Care Benefits to illegal immigrants.

I NEVER VOTED

to provide in-state tuition benefits for illegal immigrants.

I NEVER VOTED

to issue DRIVERS LICENSES to illegal immigrants.

I NEVER VOTED

for any kind of AMNESTY PLAN for illegal immigrants.

As the Chairman of the Public Safety & Domestic Security Policy Committee in the Florida House of Representatives, I have become frustrated waiting for the federal government to act to protect our borders. So last month, I filed three tough new immigration bills in Special Session 2010C, (HB-1C, HB-3C & HB-5C). My bills took the approach of the Arizona Immigration Bill even further.

It is my obligation as your elected State Representative to bring forward, at every opportunity, these necessary reforms when the federal government fails to act. I plan to re-file my bills when the Florida Legislature reconvenes for a Special Session in September.

My record speaks for itself.

My conservative and hard-lined approach to this serious issue is clear and indisputable.
